Cold rooms

Cold rooms for lower temperatures should be constructed properly.  This means that a vapor barrier at the warm side should be continuously and effective. Sometimes problems occur, without any visual cause. Product 

Although every precaution have been done to preserve quality, from time to time something goes wrong. Kiwi's or Garlic suffer from quality loss. Sometimes the cooling systems stops unattended. The insurance company and the client wants to know what went wrong, who is to blame and what can be done to prevent damage in the future. Sometimes a simple component refuses its work, sometimes the room is not suitable, sometimes people fail to make the right settings of the control. But it also happens that during transport or unloading the damage has been triggered.

Equipment 

Sometimes, without any clear reason, equipment gets out of order. This can be a generator, a compressor or any other part in a system. In such cases Verhoef examines the system as whole first and tries to find out if something could be wrong in this.  If this is not the case, then the damaged component itself is examined, hoping to find construction failures. When new technology is introduced, new problems often come with it. In a recent case plastic piping suffered from oil contamination. This resulted in environmental stress cracking. All piping had to be replaced.
