Ice Rinks are becoming very popular. Thanks to this Ice Rinks will be build at many locations. As energy consumption and environment needs more attention, the rinks have to be very energy effective. At Kolomna a new Ice Stadium had been constructed, with the most modern technology. The skaters are enthusiastic and world records will change soon. Adviesburo Verhoef bv has been invited to check all facilities and to give recommendations to fine tune all facilities. The technical facilities has been installed and delivered by Boukens Projects bv.

At Biddinghuizen, in The Netherlands, a 5 km Ice Rink is under construction. It is a simulation of the good old days, when temperatures below zero were common during winter time and people went skating on the many frozen lakes and ditches. The picture below gives an impression.
A fire at the Triavium at Nijmegen destroyed a beautiful Ice Rink in 2006. After a long period of investigations, proposals, discussions, it was decided to completely renew the ice floor construction. In February/March the complete ice floor has been replaced. It is expected that the next season, all will be ready for the skaters. Adviesburo Verhoef bv has been invited to consult the ice system.
